The following table shows the number of Hungarian emission factors per category. The main sources used when building the National database were the National Inventory Report and existing databases like Gabi, DEFRA, ELCD, EPA, COPERT, Ecoinvent and studies of associations focusing on different inputs (e.g. steel), several other studies, scientific articles, e.g.

Calculation methods and metadata are described in the EF Database Hungarian Report pdf file.
The National Emission Factor Database was harmonised at project level.
For the Hermann Otto Institute (HOI), the database was the biggest challenge of the project. Even with a clear methodology, finding data by location requires a lot of time. The HOI aims to improve the database and provide regular input after the project, despite a lack of financing.
