Onsite trainings in France
Trainings on ACT (Assessing low Carbon Transition) methodology were the first action of the french voluntary program. This action was led by ABC (Association Bilan Carbone), in partnership with ADEME.
Training for companies
ABC developed the first version of the training entitled “Understand ACT methodology”. Designed for companies, the objectives of this training are the following ones:
- Understand concepts and principles about 2° alignment
- Understand ACT principles and its sectoral methodologies
- Be able to be part of the French voluntary program on ACT

The trainings for companies took place on:
- 21 June 2017 - Angers
- 28 June 2017 - Paris
- 5 July 2017 - Paris
Training for consultants
The training for assessors or consultants was not developed, due to a lack of data and tools at the beginning of the project. It was replaced by a meeting gathering ADEME and consultants and whose objectives were to adapt ACT methodology to SMEs / Mid cap companies and the french context and to explore new sectors (food, buildings and transport)
Training for advisory group members
The French voluntary program is followed by an advisory group gathering public authorities, epresentatives of companies, NGO and members of financial sphere. ABC trained some members of this advisory group to ACT methodologies during half a day.
This training took place on 5 October 2017 in Paris.
Results from trainings
This action therefore resulted in a total of 5 trainings:
- 3 sessions for companies
- 1 session for consultants
- 1 session for members of the advisory group
